Le projet

En raison de l’opacité qui entoure l’exploitation des petits pélagiques dans les pays de la sous-région, le projet vise essentiellement à faire le plaidoyer, le renforcement des compétences et la sensibilisation des parties prenantes sur la transparence dans la pêche et sur la gestion durable des petits pélagiques et de leurs sites critiques selon l’Approche Ecosystémique des Pêches (AEP).

Cette gestion durable des petits pélagiques et des sites critiques nécessite de réelles compétences, une adhésion avertie et un engagement sans lesquels les acteurs étatiques et non étatiques ne peuvent jouer de façon dynamique et efficace leurs rôles dans la protection des sites critiques des petits pélagiques et dans leur exploitation durable.

Le projet intervient au Cabo Verde, en Mauritanie, au Sénégal, en Gambie, en Guinée Bissau, en Guinée et en Sierra Leone.
